Patio door leak repair can be performed without removing the door frame and having it re-installed. We have found a way to inject expanding polyurethane foam under the frame sill to fill the voids where water can pool. We also removed the sliding glass door panels and clean the mechanical joints in the frame. We also seal several points where screws and anchors have penetrated the sill to avoid water getting underneath the door frame threshold. This combination of doing a frontline and a secondary line of defense seems to work and has been successful solution to repairing sliding glass door leaks for our customers.
